2018-02-09

Following the successful pitching event held in December 2017 where all 350 who applied to session 1 of the National ICT Initiatives Support Program were invited to present their innovations, Ministry of ICT & National Guidance with the help of a technical selection committee subsequently selected 43 to move to the next level. The next step was to liaise with the different sectors to ascertain viability of the selected applications and ensure they will address an existing problem once implemented.

On Thursday 8th Feb 2018, the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance invited applicants with agriculture-based applications to show case their ideas before officials at the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry & Fisheries. The showcased innovations ranged from improving access to agricultural information to monitoring and evaluation of government efforts and increasing wealth of Ugandans through agriculture.

Highlighted applications included M-Farmer, Agri-Gap and Operation Wealth Creation Monitor
